New flights to China launched from Almaty

Akim of Almaty Erbolat Dossaev during his working visit to China signed a memorandum with the President of China National Aviation Holding Company, Mr. Ma Chongxian on assistance in opening new air route,El.kz cites press service of the Almaty akimat.

It is assumed that new flights will be opened, including an additional "Almaty-Beijing" and  "Almaty-Chengdu". This year, an increase in the tourist flow from China is expected, which is important for the development of Almaty as a cultural and business center. The launch of new routes is scheduled for June this year, the report says.

Almaty continues to modernize its transport infrastructure, expecting 2.3 million tourists this year, including 700,000 foreign visitors. Last year, over 95.3 thousand tourists from China visited Almaty with an increase of 54%.
