Almaty and Astana will host unique online tours on TikTok to celebrate International Museum Day. Users will be able to see the most valuable exhibits and exhibitions via live stream, El.kz reports.

On May 18, two Kazakhstani museums will join the global TikTok campaign "Museums Come Alive." Other participants in the program include the famous MoMA in New York, the Pokémon Fossil Museum in Chicago, and Abdeen Palace in Cairo.

Almaty Museum of Arts will hold a live broadcast featuring musician Nurzhan. Viewers will be shown the museum's architecture, "I Understand Everything" retrospective show by Almagul Menlibayeva and the exhibition "Qonaqtar" (Guests), which explores hospitality and migration in Central Asia.

National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will conduct a tour on Zhuldyz’s TikTok page. The stream will showcase the legendary Issyk Golden Man, the "Tobol Thinker," a bone skate, and the paleontology hall featuring the remains of ancient animals.

"Today, art goes beyond museum walls and becomes part of a living digital dialogue," noted Gaukhar Satpayeva, Communications Director of the Almaty Museum of Arts.

Announcements and direct links to the broadcasts will soon be available on the special "Museums Come Alive" project page on TikTok.
