Mortality from oncological diseases decreased in Akmola region

At the end of last year, more than ten thousand cancer patients were registered. In the structure of oncological incidence , breast cancer is in the first place, lung cancer is in the second, colorectal cancer is in the third, stomach cancer is in the fourth, and cervical cancer is in fifth place, El.kz reports with reference to the akimat of the Akmola region.

According to the electronic registry of cancer patients, the mortality rate from cancer was 673 cases, and decreased by 0.4 percent.  At the same time, the early diagnosis of stage 0-I cancer increased by 17.1% in 2023.

To improve the availability of palliative care for cancer patients, mobile teams have been organized within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan. These are seven mobile teams in primary health care organizations.
