Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageThe Senate of Kazakhstan has approved a law according to which moped drivers will be required to have a driver's license. The document was sent to the president for signature, and after its approval, all moped drivers will be required to have a certificate of subcategory A1, El.kz reports.
Also, holders of driver's licenses of categories A and B will be able to drive a moped without the need to obtain an additional category. According to current regulations, registration is required only for mopeds with a maximum speed of over 50 km/h. Now all mopeds will have to go through registration, and this norm will come into force six months after the publication of the law.
