Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC Kazakh Invest” Madiyar Sultanbek held a meeting with a delegation from Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation, headed by Juro Baba, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Global Planning and Coordination Department, El.kz cites Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and Japan in the fields of energy, industry, infrastructure, green technologies, and hydrogen energy. Particular attention was paid to the participation of Japanese companies in projects on decarbonization, industrial modernization, and the implementation of sustainable solutions in urban infrastructure.

Deputy Minister Kuantyrov noted that Japan is one of Kazakhstan’s key partners in the Asia-Pacific region and that Mitsubishi Corporation’s long-standing presence in Kazakhstan is a reliable testament to the high level of trust between the two countries. He emphasized that the Kazakh side is open to implementing new joint projects, particularly in priority areas for both sides – green energy, raw material processing, and digital technologies.

For his part, Juro Baba stated that Mitsubishi Corporation regards Kazakhstan as a reliable partner and one of the most promising platforms for project implementation in Central Asia. He emphasized that the corporation intends to continue cooperation in the field of environmentally friendly technologies, hydrogen solutions, and urban infrastructure modernization, and is exploring opportunities to participate in projects aimed at developing the country’s industrial and energy potential.
