Meeting with Indonesian Youth on Abay Day

In celebration of the Day of the great poet, educator, and founder of Kazakh written literature, Abay Kunanbayuly, a meeting was held with Indonesian youth at the National Library of Indonesia, aimed at promoting Kazakh literature abroad, El.kz cites MFA.

Zhan Akzhanov, a modern Kazakh writer, publicist, and social activist, delivered an engaging lecture on Kazakhstan’s literary heritage and the significant contribution of Abay Kunanbayuly to the development of national culture. He provided a detailed account of the life and work of the great thinker, highlighting his key role in shaping national consciousness and the spiritual legacy of the Kazakh people.

The Kazakh writer also introduced the Indonesian audience to his own literary work, showcasing his published books and sharing the latest trends in Kazakh literature, revealing its richness and diversity.

The event also featured the performance of traditional Kazakh kuis on the dombra, adding a unique cultural flavor to the meeting and allowing the guests to immerse themselves more deeply in Kazakh art.

At the end of the meeting, Zhan Akzhanov answered questions from the audience, which further deepened their understanding of Kazakh culture.
