The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the U.S., Yerzhan Ashikbayev, held discussions with representatives from the University of Minnesota, New York University, University of Oregon, Drake University, Columbia University, Ohio State University, and Catalina Global Services, El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting, Ambassador Ashikbayev informed the leadership of the American universities about plans to open branches of leading foreign educational institutions in Kazakhstan. He also discussed ongoing reforms implemented by the Government of Kazakhstan in the field of education, along with priorities for the development of the national educational system.
The representatives of the American universities expressed keen interest in enhancing collaboration with the Kazakh side, particularly within the framework of the “Bolashak” scholarship program, student and academic mobility, with a specific focus on STEM specialties.
