Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageKazakh designer Adilbek Kaisa has claimed that the logo of the new Aurgazy Arena multifunctional stadium in Bashkortostan is almost an exact copy of his previously published work.
According to the designer, the original logo was created for one of the local akimats in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports.
The new sports facility was opened in the village of Tolbazy with the support of Bashneft, a company belonging to Rosneft. The stadium’s opening ceremony included a presentation of its visual identity.
According to the designer, he published his version of the logo in 2023. He also claims that the work was commissioned by one of Kazakhstan’s akimats and that he was paid for it by the client.
Kaisa shared his reaction on Threads. He described the incident as a “new level” and said that his work had been used in the branding of a Russian sports facility.
