Level of flight safety in Kazakhstan is 82 percent

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Karabayev reported on the main directions of development of the civil aviation industry today at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This work is carried out in such areas as ensuring flight safety, developing the route network and developing infrastructure.

Speaking about ensuring flight safety, it should be noted that the level of compliance with flight safety standards in Kazakhstan is 82%. This is the highest figure among the CIS countries.

"To ensure the continuity of the growth of the security level in 2019, the civil aviation system was radically reformed based on the European model. The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan has been established, to which control and supervisory functions in the field of civil aviation have been transferred at the legislative level," the head of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan shared.

By the way, since the establishment of this organization, 934 inspections and certifications have been carried out, and about 1500 permits have been issued for flights. Also, the certificates of operators of 7 airlines that did not meet the certification requirements and posed a threat to flight safety were suspended or revoked. In addition, the operation of runways at 7 airports has been temporarily suspended.
