Large-scale environmental campaign ended in Kazakhstan

The start of the nationwide environmental campaign under the slogan "No to garbage in nature!" was announced on October 5, 2022, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

There were four stages in total.  The first stage started on October 8 throughout the country. For all 4 stages, eco-activists, volunteers, representatives of enterprises, government agencies and the population took part in the action. This is more than 847 thousand people.

During this time, over 30 thousand tons of waste were collected. The collected garbage was sorted. 5.5 thousand tons of glass, 9.2 thousand tons of plastic, 3.1 thousand tons of rubber, 4.4 thousand tons of paper and cardboard and 2.7 thousand tons of metal were transferred for processing.
