A presentation of the results of the study of the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan was held in Astana. The event was attended by the Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
Within the framework of the panel session, the head of the Ministry of National Economy answered a number of questions regarding the development of the country's economy in the current geopolitical situation, and also spoke about the implementation of socio-economic reforms.
Also, the minister pointed out the ongoing work in order to improve the investment climate and improve tools to support investors. Positive dynamics in this direction was noted in the results of a study conducted by EY together with Euromoney and fDI Market Intelligence.
The survey was attended by 116 foreign investors from around the world. These include 33 companies with a turnover of more than 1.5 billion euros and 83 companies with a turnover of less than 1.5 billion euros.
According to foreign experts, today Kazakhstan has become one of the most popular countries for investment in the region. More than two-thirds of the investors who took part in the survey are already operating in our republic.
A number of recommendations from foreign business were also presented to ensure a favorable regulatory environment, qualified personnel, the development of the digital economy, and the promotion of a fair and transparent approach to taxation.
