On November 13th, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan Kim Daesik visited Akmola region.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with Yermek Marzhykpayev, Mayor of Akmola Region to discuss the development of agricultural sector and health care. This was followed by a meeting with students of Ualihanov State University, where Mr. Kim Daesik gave a lecture.
Also, the Ambassador visited "Kogamdyk Kelisim" MPI, where he got acquainted with the activities of the regional assembly, ethno-cultural associations to strengthen social harmony, development of culture and traditions of ethnic minorities.
In the evening, a festival of Korean culture was held in Dostar Palace of Culture.
Opening the event, Marziyat Tohayeva, Head of Secretariat, Deputy Chairman of Akmola Assembly of People of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude to Mr. Ambassador for the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of South Korea, noted that this festival will contribute to the strengthening of friendship, cooperation and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and South Korea, wished the participants of the festival inspiration and creative success, and the audience - bright impressions and good mood.
In his turn, Mr. Kim Daesik thanked the mayor of the region, regional assembly, public association of Koreans for the work done to strengthen friendship and cultural ties between the two countries.
It was followed by a concert with the participation of creative groups from Seoul and 'Chinsong' Korean Cultural Center. The audience warmly greeted the performances of the artists, who introduced the modern culture of South Korea and the charming sounds of Korean national instruments.
