The epee fencing team of Kazakhstan entered the top ten at the World Cup in Switzerland, taking seventh place, El.kz reports citing  NOC of Kazakhstan.

Kazakh epee fencers - Elmir Alimzhanov, Vadim Sharlaimov, Yerlik Sertay and Ruslan Kurbanov - lost to Hungary in the quarterfinals (36:45), and then were defeated by Switzerland in the fight for 5th-8th places.

In the final match, the Kazakh team  beat athletes from the Netherlands and took the 7th place
