Kazakhstan’s economic growth to reach 5.6% in 2025

Kazakhstan's real GDP growth in 2025 is projected at 5.6%, El.kz reports citing primeminister.kz.

According to the IMF, global economic growth in 2025 will be 3.3%. The forecast for the oil price for 2025 is $78 per barrel.

The Ministry considered three development scenarios: baseline, optimistic and pessimistic. According to the baseline scenario, the average oil price is expected at $75 per barrel. In this case, Kazakhstan's real GDP growth in 2025 is projected at 5.6%, and the average annual GDP growth over a five-year period will be 5.4%. Nominal GDP will increase from 150.8 trillion tenge in 2025 to 234.2 trillion tenge, which is equivalent to $498.4 billion by 2029.
