Berlin residents enthusiastically embraced Kazakh culture and craftsmanship at the Berlin Bazaar-2023 exhibition. Kazakh manufacturers took part in the world's largest international fair in Germany, Berlin Bazaar, which was held from 8 to 12 November 2023. The National Pavilion of Kazakhstan was organized at the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports with the support of Kazakh Tourism NC JSC to promote Kazakhstani tourism through crafts and arts, El.kz reports citing Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

Every year, the Berlin Bazaar attracts around 500 creative entrepreneurs from over 60 countries. According to the organizers, the exhibition provides an effective platform for opening new export markets for national brands, introducing visitors to the culture and life of the Kazakh people, as well as establishing contacts with potential tourists.

The Kazakhstan pavilion is represented by a diverse range of handicrafts, natural products, Fair Trade goods and design works.

- Our country is rich not only in its nature, but also in its cultural heritage. This exhibition presents the best products made by craftsmen from all over Kazakhstan. The products of our designers and artisans are distinguished by their unique cultural code and identity. Such events outside Kazakhstan are very important in the framework of popularization of Kazakhstani tourism. Our country is always ready to meet and surprise guests from all over the world," said Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerzhan Yerkinbayev.

The pavilion itself is a unique structure with a yurt in the center of the hall, creating an atmosphere of authenticity. Here, guests of the stand can not only enjoy a variety of handicrafts and natural products, but also immerse themselves in the traditions and customs of our country.

A special feature of the stand is the works of art represented by the work of the Kazakh artist under the creative pseudonym Assol. Her unique works, created using carpets instead of canvas, are extraordinary paintings. This series of works is dedicated to the outstanding women of Kazakhstan: the proud faces of the Saka queen Tomiris, the mythical Zher-Ana and other historical figures can be seen in the carpet patterns.

Kazakhstan is a magnificent country. Your pavilion is the largest in this exhibition. I really liked the winter national clothes, scarves and veils with Kazakh ornaments. This is something new for Europe. The Kazakh collection is incredible, it is perfect for many fashion shows," Gul Schindler, a resident of Berlin, shared her impressions.

In addition, the pavilion presents unique works of Kazakh masters made of wood, leather, jewelry, and textile products. The stand is of particular interest to the guests of the fair. At the stand, a show of designers was organized and guests were treated to national sweets.
