As an example, Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan cited the statistics of Internews in Kazakhstan. According to the study, the most popular platforms among Kazakhstanis are television broadcasting and Internet resources, El.kz reports.
Most of all, citizens of Kazakhstan trust television - 58.1%, the second place take Internet sites - 34.3%.
At the same time, more than half of the population trusts the state media (51.4%), only 9.6% trust private media, and the share of those who do not trust anyone is 39%.
Now the Ministry is working to improve sectoral legislation in the field of media. A working group together with the journalistic community have also been created comprehensive work in order to improve the media.
Particular attention is paid to increasing the human resources potential of the industry. Thus, the Special Plan for the Training of Media Professionals for 2020-2021 was developed and implemented.
As part of this plan, memorandums were signed with universities on the training of industry journalists, and a multimedia educational and information platform was launched. Also, more than 4 thousand journalists have completed training courses in the medical, environmental, religious and IT fields; new educational programs have been launched.
