Kazakhstanis win World Championship in Audaryspak

On June 21-22, 2024, the World Horse Wrestling Championship (audaryspak) ended in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of Kazan. 8 national teams from 6 countries of the world took part in the championship. In total, about 45 athletes from Mongolia, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Bashkortostan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan took part in the competition, El.kz reports.

The Kazakh team was represented by: Azamat Sergazin, Shyngyskhan Yerzhanov, Daryn Otkelbay, Altai Suyeubayev, Tolebi Kaiyrzhanov, Arman Sagynbayev.

Azamat Sergazin won gold in the 60 kg weight category, Daryn Otkelbay won in the 80 kg, Altai Suyeubayev won in the in the 90 kg, and Arman Sagynbayev won gold in the over 100 kg weight category.

In the 100 kg weight category, Tolebi Kairzhanov brought silver to the team, and in the 70 kg weight category, the bronze medal went to Shyngyskhan Yerzhanov.

Thus, in the medal standings, the national team of Kazakhstan won 1st place among 8 teams, winning 4 gold, 1 silver and one bronze medals. The second place was taken by athletes from Kyrgyzstan, and wrestlers from the Tatarstan team closed the top three.
