The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved its further cooperation with top technical universities in France, El.kz reports.
The Kazakh delegation led by Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Talgat Yeshenkulov and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulsara Arystankulova visited the top technical universities of France and world-class engineering and technical laboratories.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of France initiated educational opportunities: opening a branch of leading technical universities in Kazakhstan, creating joint double-diploma and educational programs and sending Kazakhstani scientists for internships in leading educational institutions and scientific centers of France.
During the talks with the President of the Polytechnic Institute Eric Labay, the parties agreed to identify a Kazakhstani partner university for cooperation within the framework of the academic mobility project and double-degree programs. The delegation told the scientific laboratory "Soleil Synchroton". Director of the French University " CentraleSupélec, Université Paris-Saclay " Oliver Gickel expressed his interest in organizing internships for our scientists, noting the readiness to create a scientific and technical center of Al-Farabi KazNU.
The representative of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research Claire Giry supported the initiatives proposed at the forum from Kazakhstan.
"In pursuance of the instructions of the Head of State, we intend to strengthen cooperation with leading universities and research institutes of the world, including France, on the training of technical personnel and the implementation of scientific internships. We held a number of meetings with representatives of large technical universities and laboratories, agreed to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education and science," Vice Minister Talgat Yeshenkulov said.
Also, following the meeting, it was decided to hold a forum of higher education organizations and scientific centers of Kazakhstan and France.
