Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritage
The team of schoolchildren of Kazakhstan won one gold and three silver medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad ICHO. The Olympics this year were held in the Chinese city of Tianjin, El.kz reports with reference to the official Facebook page of the Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov.
Kazakhstan was represented by four students from Nur-Sultan, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Aktau. In total, 322 schoolchildren from 83 countries took part in the Olympiad.
"Madiyar Kasymali brought the team the first gold medal since 2017. Sanjar Bisenali, Sanjar Nurgaliyev and Almira Nurlanova won silver. Last year we won three silver and one bronze medals. I congratulate our pupils with high results and well-deserved victories!" the minister's publication says.
Askhat Aimagambetov added that this year the winners of such Olympiads will receive state support for the first time: they are entitled to a large monetary reward and the opportunity to enter national universities without passing entrance exams. Teachers who prepared future laureates for the international Olympiad will also receive remuneration.
