Kazakhstan’s 11-year-old chess player Alimzhan Zhауynbai won a gold medal at the international chess festival in Fujairah, UAE. Alimzhan of Kazakhstan scored 8 out of 9 points and took gold medal among 250 young participants,  El.kz reports citing the press service of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation.

Now, the young athlete is confidently moving toward new heights. His success in Fujairah has strengthened his position ahead of the upcoming World and Asian Championships this fall.
