Kazakhstan to launch flights to Vietnam

On August 23 of this year, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Kazakhstan Pham Thi Nih Mai and the representative of Vietjet Air Nguyen Chi Tam to discuss issues on the resumption of regular passenger flights between Kazakhstan and Vietnam. This is reported by El.kz with reference to the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

During the meeting, the Vietnamese side expressed its readiness to operate regular passenger flights to Kazakhstan.

 So, on October 10 of this year it is planned to open the first flight of the airline "Vietjet Air" on the route Cam Ranh - Almaty. In addition, the airline plans to launch flights from Cam Ranh to Nur-Sultan. Flights will be operated 2-3 times a week on Airbus A-330 type aircraft.

Currently, Vietjet Air is preparing to undergo accreditation as a foreign air carrier in Kazakhstan. The parties noted the importance of direct flights for the further development of trade, economic, investment, tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue work on the resumption of direct regular flights between Kazakhstan and Vietnam.
