In the ranking of the worst countries in terms of traffic congestion, Kazakhstan took 47th place out of 87, El.kz reports with reference to Finprom.kz.

The country's traffic index was 133.9. The index measures the time spent on a trip to work, dissatisfaction due to long commutes, inefficient traffic and CO2 consumption.

According to the rating, the average time spent on a trip to work by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan is 34.73 minutes one way. The CO2 emission index in the Republic of Kazakhstan amounted to 4119.35 - this is an assessment of CO2 emissions during the movement to work in both directions.

Among the CIS countries, Russia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine* turned out to have worse indicators than Kazakhstan* and Belarus had better indicators.
