The successful performance of Kazakhstani athlete Nora Jeruto allowed Kazakhstan to take 22nd place at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in the American Eugene, El.kz reports with reference to Sports.kz.
According to its results, The United States ended the competition with 33 total medals.
Ethiopia, Jamaica and Kenya each finished the world championships with 10 total medals.
Kazakhstan, together with seven other countries, shared the 22nd place. The national team has one gold medal. It was won by Nora Geruto in the 3,000-meter steeplechase competition.
This "gold" was the first award of the highest standard at the World Athletics Championships in the history of the country.
