Yerzhan Birzhanov was named new Vice Minister of Finance, El.kz reports with reference to the Primeminister.kz.
"By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Birzhanov Yerzhan Yerikovich was appointed to the post of Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the report said.
Yerzhan Birzhanov was born in 1979 in the North Kazakhstan region.
He graduated from North Kazakhstan State University, North Kazakhstan Law Academy, M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University, University of Business and International Relations (Switzerland).
New Vice Minister of Finance began his career in 1999 as a senior tax inspector of the local tax sector of the Tax Committee for the North Kazakhstan region.
Yerzhan Birzhanov held senior positions in the structure of the Ministry of Finance. In 2017-2021, he served in the national security agencies.
