The Head of State held a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Alexander Lukashenko for his participation in the CICA and CIS summits. President noted that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of strategic partnership with Belarus.
During the conversation, the leaders discussed current state and prospects for further strengthening the Kazakh-Belarusian multifaceted cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the intensification of trade and economic cooperation and industrial cooperation.
"I constantly tell members of the Government that we need to do everything possible to increase trade, investment cooperation, and promote projects. We need to seize the opportunities. On my part, all opportunities will be taken to continue effective multilateral cooperation," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
In turn, Alexander Lukashenko thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the invitation to the summit, noting the significant potential for further strengthening CICA.
The leaders also exchanged views on the international and regional agenda.
