Kazakhstani "flying skier" Danil Vasiliev won the gold medal of the Winter Universiade 2023 in the American Lake Placid, El.kz reports with reference to the Sports.kz.
Vasilyev won the competition in jumping on a normal springboard. In the first attempt, he took first place with a score of 127.2, and in the final round he became the second (130.1). The Kazakhstani showed the best result of 257.3, ahead of the Austrians Maximillian Lincher (251.4) and Timon Pascal Kahofer (248.8).
