Kazakh, Japanese student hockey teams met in the match for third place at the Universiade-2023 in Lake Placid (USA), El.kz reports with reference to the Sports.kz.

Kazakhstan won with a score 8:1. Goals for Kazakhstan were scored by Maxim Mukhametov (7th, 25th and 48th minutes), Sayan Daniyar (23rd), Alikhan Omirbekov (26th), Batyrlan Muratov (39th), Ali Kasenov (43rd) and Danil Butenko (50th); Yuto Gondair scored for the Japanese (40th).

Thus, the hockey players of the Kazakhstan national team won the bronze medal - this is the tenth medal of Kazakhstan at the Universiade-2023 in Lake Placid.
