Speaking about the international agenda, Tokayev mentioned the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, stressing the importance of preserving the memory of its victims. Head of State noted that Kazakhstan welcomed the results of the Russian-American summit in Alaska and the signing of a peace declaration between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington, mediated by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The President addressed the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, calling it a platform for dialogue, but underlined the need for reform, first and foremost of the Security Council.
