This was announced during a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Legislative Activities chaired by Minister of Justice Azamat Yeskaraev. According to the developers of the project, the draft law on the introduction of cloud technologies is aimed at developing cloud technologies in Kazakhstan and attracting new and global market participants, such as Azure, Google Cloud and others. The purpose of the bill is to create a regional cloud computing hub in Kazakhstan, including large data centers and the development of cloud services.
In addition, during the meeting, the members of the IAC considered the draft conclusion of the Government to the draft laws "On Amendments and Additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan", "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Reforming the Judicial System and Improving Procedural Legislation".
The advisory document "On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Mass Media" and the draft resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Plan of Legislative Work of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024" were also considered.
