Kazakhstan takes 84th place in world ranking of best countries

According to the results of the ranking of the best countries in 2023 compiled by US News, Kazakhstan ranks 84th among 87 countries. This is a position lower compared to last year, when the country was in 82nd place out of 85 participants in the ranking.

The ranking took into account various categories, including tourism (where Kazakhstan ranked 86th), cultural impact (85th), entrepreneurship (80th), cultural heritage (83rd), business-friendly (80th) and quality of life (81st), among others, El.kz reports citing Finprom.

Switzerland, Canada and Sweden took the lead in the ranking, while the last place went to Iran.

Among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) participating in this ranking, Kazakhstan is ahead only of Belarus. Other participants from the CIS included Russia (37th), Ukraine* (68th), Azerbaijan (77th) and Uzbekistan (83rd).

In turn, in 2023, Kazakhstanis shared their views on their satisfaction with their lives and health. 41.8% of respondents are quite satisfied with their lives, almost the same number as a year earlier. Satisfaction with living conditions among respondents was 51.8%, satisfaction with their health — 47.6%.

57.7% of Kazakhstanis were partially satisfied with their lives, 47.4% with their living conditions, and 49.3% with their health.

0.4% of Kazakhstanis expressed complete dissatisfaction with their lives, 0.6% with their living conditions, and 3% with their health.

As for the financial and economic situation, 34% of respondents were quite satisfied with their financial situation, 36.5% with the economic situation of the family.

63.2% of Kazakhstanis expressed partial satisfaction with the financial situation, and 61.6% with the economic situation of the family.

0.4% of Kazakhstanis were dissatisfied with their situation, and 0.5% were dissatisfied with the economic situation of their families.
