Kazakhstan takes 28th place in UN Ranking in development of e-Gov, 8th place in online services

Kazakhstan took 28th place in the UN Ranking in the development of e-Gov, 8th place in online services, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the MDDIAI of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Minister of Digital Development Musin Bagdat, Chief of Staff Arman Kenzhegaliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Aerospace Committee - Razia Buralkhieva, General Director of the RSE on the REM "Digital Government Support Center" - Bigari Rustem reported on the work done to the members of the Public Council.

In his speech, it was noted that the Ministry is working on the development of human-centered services, the transfer of services to a proactive format, documents to digital format. Thus, thanks to the work of the ministry, Kazakhstan took 28th place in the UN Ranking in the development of e-Gov, 8th place in online services.

The strategic goal of the ministry is to create a digital infrastructure for the comfortable interaction between the state and citizens and business within the framework of the "Invisible Government" concept. One of the tools for this is the Digital Family Card. In addition to simplifying services for the population, similar work is underway to simplify services for business. eGov for business was also presented.

Projects in the fields of healthcare were presented: the eDensaulyq project - an electronic passport of human health, and subsoil use - a single platform "Minerals.gov.kz". The Council noted the positive dynamics in the export of IT products. In 2022, exports increased fivefold and reached 333 million US dollars. The activities of the Astana Hub have a contribution in this direction.

In order to develop human capital in the IT sector, the Ministry launched the TechOrda program. To date, 3 thousand vouchers have been issued under this program. The goal of the project is to train 20,000 specialists by 2025. To provide the population with affordable Internet, a pilot National Project "Accessible Internet" was presented to the members of the Public Council.

In the direction of the aerospace industry, Deputy Chairman of the Aerospace Committee R.S. Buralkhieva reported that at the moment space monitoring covered 33.4 million hectares of farmland, 178 million hectares of pastures, 20.6 million hectares of forest land, 38.4 million hectares of water resources. At the same time, 1.1 million hectares of unused arable land were identified; 20.1 million hectares of crop area, 5723 spontaneous landfills, 444 thousand unregistered plots.

Bigari Rustem, General Director of the RSE on the REM "Digital Government Support Center", spoke about the results and tasks in the direction of digital transformation. In his report, he noted that the key task of changing public administration is the transition to data-driven management. The main goal is to build a client-centric state.

Bigari Rustem also noted the work of the Digital Transformation Center on business process reengineering, as well as on the automation of the risk management system.

At the end of the meeting, the Ministry highly appreciated the role of the Public Council in the work of the Ministry, expert assessment and feedback have a positive impact on the development of the industry for the benefit of society.
