Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageThe Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan has presented a draft order that provides for the issuance of an electronic digital signature (EDS) based on biometric identification, El.kz reports.
The draft order is published on the Open Regulatory Acts portal. According to the document, it is planned to introduce a pilot project for a period of one year, which starts on March 4.
The algorithm for obtaining EDS keys includes the following processes:
Obtaining a public electronic digital signature key (EDS) for individuals through biometric identification;
Obtaining an EDS through biometric identification on the website of the National Certification Authority.
The ministry claims that this will simplify the procedure for obtaining registration certificates.
At the moment, the draft order is undergoing public discussion, which will last until March 14.
