Kazakhstan demonstrates significant growth in the production of cotton fabrics. For the period from January to November 2023, production increased by 82.9% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 20 million square meters, El.kz reports with reference to Kazstat.
At the same time, there is an increase in the import of these fabrics. In the same 11 months of 2023, imports increased by 36.6%, amounting to 140.5 million square meters, while in 2022 this figure was 102.9 million square meters. As a result, the share of imported products in the total volume amounted to 87.5%.
In addition, in January-November last year, Kazakhstan exported 3.9 million square meters. cotton fabrics, which is also an indicator of the country's growing activity in the international textile market.
