The draft of the relevant regulatory legal act has been submitted for public discussion, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhsta.
- In world practice, the use of secondary metals in the form of raw materials is a important area due to environmental friendliness and minimal energy consumption during its processing. In our country, scrap and waste of ferrous and non-ferrous metals are the only and strategic type of raw materials for 11 domestic metallurgical enterprises, the department said.
The draft order provides for the introduction of a temporary ban on the export of ferrous scrap from the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan by rail. The main purpose of this measure is to provide the domestic market with the necessary resources for the stable functioning of the domestic metallurgical industry.
