Kazakhstan opens 1st honorary consulate in Mozambique

The Republic of Kazakhstan officially opened its first Honorary Consulate in Mozambique, with businessman Dino Mamudo Foi appointed as the Honorary Consul. The ceremony, held in the capital city of Maputo, marks a significant milestone in strengthening relations between the two nations,El.kz cites MFA.

The event was attended by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Mozambique, Yerkin Akhinzhanov, along with local dignitaries, representatives from business, cultural, and academic sectors, members of the press, the diplomatic community, and Kazakh nationals residing in Mozambique.

In his speech, Ambassador Akhinzhanov highlighted the strategic importance of the consulate’s opening, emphasizing that it represents a new phase in the development of Kazakhstan-Mozambique relations. He expressed confidence that the consulate would serve as a vital platform for enhancing trade, investment, and economic cooperation, while also fostering closer cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries.

Honorary Consul Dino Foi, in his address, expressed his gratitude to the Kazakh government for their trust, affirming his commitment to advancing bilateral collaboration across various sectors and safeguarding the rights and interests of Kazakh citizens within his consular jurisdiction.
