Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageThe latest PEFA (Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability) assessment has been completed in Kazakhstan, one of the main international tools for evaluating transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public finance, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Finance.
The assessment covered the period from 2022 to 2024 and was conducted with financial support from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. It is part of the implementation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's instructions, announced in his address to the people "The Economic Course of a Just Kazakhstan," to enhance the country's investment attractiveness.
– The PEFA assessment directly influences the trust of international investors, as it reflects the level of transparency and effectiveness in the management of public resources, the ministry noted. According to preliminary results, the number of indicators with the highest rating of 'A' has doubled, while the share of indicators rated 'B' has increased by 25% compared to the results of the previous assessment in 2018.
