Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageNew computer science, robotics and chemistry classrooms have been opened at secondary school-gymnasium no. 33 named after Kemel Tokayev in Bishkek. Kazakhstan has provided the educational institution with computers, 3D modelling equipment and laboratory apparatus for conducting experiments, El.kz reports.
The school is being modernised with Kazakhstan’s support. One of the latest stages of the initiative involved equipping classrooms with modern technology that will enable students to gain practical experience in programming, robotics and the natural sciences.
The computer science and AI technology classroom has received 25 computers, three 3D printers, four 3D scanners and a 75-inch interactive display.
According to computer science teacher Askat Borukulov, the new computers are equipped with modern graphics cards and increased RAM capacity. This equipment will enable students to work with 3D graphics, create digital models and learn to use software that requires high computing performance.
The chemistry classroom has also been upgraded. Kazakhstan has provided the school with laboratory glassware, chemical reagents, storage equipment and specialised furniture. Students will now be able to conduct experiments, observe chemical reactions and carry out practical assignments independently.
Chemistry teacher Albina Ussanova noted that the upgraded laboratory would expand opportunities for students to engage in research, develop scientific projects and participate in academic olympiads.
Classes in the renovated classrooms have already begun, although some of the newly delivered equipment still needs to be prepared for use.
The modernisation programme has also covered other areas of the school. Corridors and the assembly hall were renovated earlier, and a separate entrance was installed for primary school pupils. In addition, a 120-seat cafeteria was built on the school premises, and a school bus was provided.
School Principal Taalaykul Ashymova expressed her gratitude to Kazakhstan for its assistance, noting that the new facilities would expand educational opportunities for students.
“With the newly equipped classrooms, we now have the opportunity to provide our children with a higher quality of education. We are immensely pleased to have the support of Kazakhstan, our friendly neighbouring country. We look forward to the continuation of our joint educational projects,” she said.
Secondary School-Gymnasium No. 33 is one of the oldest educational institutions in Bishkek. Founded in 1941, it is named after Kazakh writer Kemel Tokayev.
