The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan has developed a bill "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Physical Culture and Sports", El.kz reports.
An important part of the document is the introduction of a new term "accompanying an athlete with a disability", which will allow athletes with disabilities of the first group to receive the necessary assistance during sports events. This measure is aimed at improving the conditions for movement and participation in competitions, making the sports environment more accessible.
According to representatives of the ministry, the innovation will support inclusivity in sports and create favorable conditions for citizens with disabilities. Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov stressed that "the introduction of a system of special assistance for athletes with disabilities is an important step towards inclusion in sports. We will continue to create equal opportunities for all citizens."
It is expected that the adoption of this bill will significantly increase inclusion in the sports field, providing athletes with disabilities with additional opportunities to achieve success.
