The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling for the promotion of interfaith dialogue and the prevention of incitement to hatred, El.kz cites MFA.
The resolution condemns all forms of violence against individuals based on their religion or beliefs. Additionally, it emphasizes the condemnation of any acts directed against the religious symbols, holy books, homes, businesses, properties, schools, cultural centers, and places of worship.
The decision to include references to religious symbols and holy books in the text of the UN resolution was made in the light of a series of incidents involving the burning and desecration of the Holy Quran in several European countries.
Kazakhstan co-sponsored this resolution along with 47 other UN member states.
