At its plenary session, the Majilis of Kazakhstan ratified the protocol with amendments to the intergovernmental agreement between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan of July 7, 2000 on the conditions of mutual trips of citizens, El.kz reports.

The document provides for an increase in the period of stay of citizens of both countries without registration on the territory of each other from 5 to 30 days.

Uzbekistan ratified this protocol on April 25, 2023. According to the conclusion to the document, the new conditions will create more favorable conditions for citizens of both states, simplifying their stay on the territory of each other. This, in turn, will contribute to the further development of economic ties, business and cultural exchange between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the conclusion emphasizes.

Thus, the updated agreement strengthens friendly relations between neighboring countries and opens up new opportunities for deepening cooperation in various fields.
