Galymzhan Koishybayev, Deputy Prime Minister – Chief of Staff of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates on Feb. 13-14 to participate in the Shaping Future Governments World Summit, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.
The event was attended by the leaders and Heads of Governments of a number of countries, representatives of leading international organisations and media, respected experts in the field of public administration, as well as members of over 280 government delegations.
During the summit, Koishybayev spoke at the thematic session "Forum on Experience Sharing", and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Development and Modernization of Public Administration with his Emirati counterpart, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi.
Koishybayev also had talks with the leaders of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Emirati companies Ayana Holding and Metito, during which they discussed strengthening of trade and economic cooperation and implementation of several important investment projects in Kazakhstan, as well as signed relevant memorandums of cooperation.
The World Government Summit was established in 2013 at the initiative of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and is now held annually.
The summit brings together government leaders, civil servants, private sector leaders, experts and others for global discussions on government processes, policies and innovative technologies in this area.
