Kazakhstan and Türkiye strengthen cooperation within framework of 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Türkiye Yerkebulan Sapiyev met with the President of the Directorate of Religious Affairs of Türkiye (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı), Ali Erbaş, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation in the religious and spiritual spheres, as well as Аli Erbaş’s forthcoming participation in the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, scheduled to take place in Astana on September, 2025.

Ambassador underlined that the Congress has become a distinguished international platform fostering dialogue among different religions and cultures, contributing to the promotion of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.

Professor Erbaş commended Kazakhstan’s leadership in advancing interreligious and intercultural dialogue and expressed his commitment to actively participating in the work of the upcoming Congress.
