Kazakhstan and Serbia interested in increasing bilateral trade

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with President of Serbia in an expanded format, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The President of Kazakhstan thanked Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić for a meaningful talk in a tete-a-tete format and the hospitality to Kazakh side.

On his part, the President of Serbia expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the visit, noting its strategic importance for further deepening bilateral relations. He stressed the importance of developing mutually beneficial ties, which serve as the basis for strengthening peace and stability in the region and in the global arena. The heads of state paid special attention to strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation.

The Presidents positively assessed the growth of bilateral trade in recent years. It was noted that the current geopolitical and economic situation in the world requires even closer cooperation.

The interlocutors expressed mutual interest in further increasing bilateral trade and expanding the range of goods supplied.

The available wide opportunities and resources for promoting anchor joint projects in the fields of industry, agriculture, transit and logistics, the military-industrial complex, digitalization, telecommunications and the aerospace industry were considered.

The importance of developing connectivity and diversification of transport infrastructure, including the possibility of opening direct flights between the capitals, was emphasized.

The Presidents drew attention to three establishment of practical cooperation in the fields of education, science, healthcare, tourism, and the introduction of artificial intelligence.

The heads of state expressed confidence that the bilateral documents signed during the visit will fully contribute to the further deepening of Kazakh-Serbian cooperation.
