During the official visit of President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and his participation in the Astana International Forum, the delegation from the African country visited the National Space Center in Astana.
Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev presented the guests with key projects of the domestic space industry, including Earth remote sensing technologies, satellite communications, and digital geoservices.
Both parties paid special attention to the possibilities of interaction between JSC “National Company” “Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” and the Rwandan Space Agency.
The joint application of geoinformation technologies for monitoring, ecological analysis, and sustainable development was discussed.
During the visit to Akorda, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the relevant ministries of the two countries.
The document establishes the foundations of cooperation in the field of ICT and lays the groundwork for future projects in the digital and aerospace industries.
