Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurgali Arystanov visited the National Library of the Republic of Korea. During the visit, the Ambassador donated a significant collection of Kazakh books to the library, including the biography of the great scientist Kanysh Satpayev, Abai’s “Words of Wisdom”, materials about the history and culture of Kazakhstan, a collection of Kazakh classical literature and books by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, El.kz cites MFA.
During the conversation with the leadership of the National Library of the Republic of Korea, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation with the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Discussions included issues of digitalization of book collections, the use of advanced technologies and training seminars for Kazakh specialists. In particular, the Korean side intends to invite a group of Kazakh librarians to Korea next year.
Also, representatives of the National Library of Korea expressed interest in visiting Kazakhstan to become acquainted with the work of Kazakh libraries.
