Kazakhstan and Israel to cooperate in water sector

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov met with Chairman of the Board of the investment company Dan Capital, Shimon Ben-Hamo to discuss cooperation in the water sector,El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan.

The sides discussed projects for the construction and reconstruction of hydraulic structures. Israeli specialists have already inspected four reservoirs in Kazakhstan and gave recommendations for their modernization.

Israeli investors expressed their readiness to implement joint projects with the participation of Kazakh companies. In addition, the foreign delegation offered to organize advanced training courses for Kazvodkhoz specialists in Israel.

Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov noted that further discussions will continue within the framework of a joint working group, which will engage in a detailed study of the technical part of the project and determine areas for training Kazakh specialists.
