Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageVice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Yermek Kenzhekhanuly met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kazakhstan Ali Akbar Joukar, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Yermek Kenzhekhanuly noted that the implementation of investment projects in the agricultural sector remains one of the priority areas.
"We strive to increase investment indicators and trade turnover of agricultural products between Kazakhstan and Iran. We are also ready to provide the necessary support to Iranian investors who are interested in implementing projects in our country. In 2022, we exported a record 1 million tons of grain to Iran," the vice minister said.
At the meeting, key industries were identified that can become the basis for interaction between the parties. Among them are food production, crop production.
Ali Akbar Joukar stressed the importance of further development of Kazakh-Iranian relations and expressed interest in the fishing industry of Kazakhstan.
The participants of the meeting confirmed their readiness to discuss all mutually beneficial initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, Yermek Kenzhekhanuly invited the Iranian ambassador and potential investors to visit the international exhibition "KazAgro & Kaz Farm", which will be held in Astana in October.
