Kazakhstan and international organization for migration continue to develop cooperation

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akan Rakhmetullin, held meeting with the newly appointed Head of the UN Organization for Migration Mission in Kazakhstan and Coordinator for Central Asia, Serkhan Aktoprak, El.kz cites MFA.

At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning Kazakhstan’s interaction with the IOM, including such areas of cooperation as immigration and registration of foreign citizens, border control, and prevention of illegal migration, illegal transportation and exploitation of people.

Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the representative of an international organization for active participation and support of the Almaty Process aimed at solving numerous migration problems in Central Asia.
