The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Akan Rakhmetullin, held a meeting with Nicolas Rallo, Director of the European and North Atlantic Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), El.kz cites MFA.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed a broad range of topics concerning Kazakhstan’s cooperation with ICAO, including enhancing flight safety, introducing modern technologies in civil aviation, and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Rakhmetullin expressed his gratitude to ICAO for its support of Kazakhstan’s initiatives aimed at strengthening and developing the national aviation sector. The Kazakh diplomat underscored the significance of the upcoming ICAO Regional Seminar, “Risk Assessment and Flights Over or Near Conflict Zones,” organized in cooperation with the Safe Skies Consultative Committee (SSCC) and scheduled to be held in Almaty from November 6 to 8, 2024. The event, he noted, provides a valuable platform for sharing experiences and best practices in the sustainable development of the aviation sector.
In turn, Rallo reaffirmed ICAO’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to Kazakhstan in the development of civil aviation.
Both parties agreed to continue their joint efforts to address pressing issues and achieve shared goals in the field of civil aviation.
