Kazakhstan and Indonesia expand business partnership

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Indonesia Serzhan Abdykarimov held a meeting with Vice Chairman of International Relations of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bernardino Vega, El.kz cites MFA.

The parties discussed measures to strengthen business contacts between Kazakh and Indonesian entrepreneurs, increase mutual trade, and realize transit-transport potential. Special emphasis was placed on jointly exploring prospective projects in the oil and gas sector, mining and metallurgical complex, renewable energy sources, as well as infrastructure construction.

An important aspect of the discussion was the imminent launch of the Kazakhstan-Indonesia business online platform for the prompt exchange of information on exported/imported goods, calculation of logistics routes for cargo transportation, and exploration of opportunities for establishing joint ventures, etc.

An agreement was reached to sign a MoU between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries and establish the “Business Council of Kazakhstan-Indonesia.”

The parties also discussed plans for organizing a trade and investment mission to Kazakhstan in May-June of this year, within which a Kazakhstan-Indonesia business forum is scheduled to take place.
